  • Nightshots: Thyssen-Krupp

    I’m now at Essen, where I grew up visiting old friends and my father.
    Amazon delivered my tripod and a remote control. Thus I was all prepared for nightshoots.

  • New toy / camera

    Yes – I bought a new camera.
    Due to my loss of my Nikon P7000 in Africa, I needed some exchange.

    And it was a big change, now its a Nikon D7000.
    Best: I can still use a 35mm f/2 prime lens, with which my father probably has taken some of those pictures of my childhood.
    But I got it with a 18-105mm kit lens, not the best, but enough for starting.

    Let’s see how pictures will change…

  • Nightshot

    This night – after studying of course. I went out for a nightshoot.

    I know its not the perfect object, but it was just to test how good the camera handles low light situations.
    Without a tripod, shot out of my hands.

    Noise reduction and cropping with Adobe Lightroom.

    Yes – I tried it again.
    After my first try and a three stich-suturation, I tried to do it again.

    Nokia E7

    More or less 1 month ago, I got my “new” nokia e7.
    Some might say – old, but who cares? It got all I need.
    – Mail
    – Internet
    – Texting & WhatsApp
    – last but not least facebook
    And all in a perfect skin made of aluminium.

    Symbian is not uptodate anymore, but far more than I normally could use!
    At least I’m lucky with my choice 😉

  • My Nikon P7000

    Hell yes – I got it!!

    A colleague of mine took it to South Africa.
    I finally received my new camera. Still not beeing able to handle it to perfection, but I’m learning to set up al those functions like exposition, aperture, ISO, and so on…But its better far better than my nearly 3 years old Canon IXY910-IS grey import.

    I’m back in Germany! 🙂
    Juppi, sehr viel Freude, sehr viele alte bekannte Gesichter!
    Aber: es ist KALT! Daher…liege ich seit ca. 2 Tagen im Bett und erfreue mich einer besten Erkältung! Habe schon lange nicht mehr einenette Bronchitis gehabt.

    Soweit – ich hab eine Wohnung in Durach (also bald eine neue Adresse)
    Zur Zeit kein Internet zu Hause. Also kein ICQ etc. pp.
    Neue Handynummer.
    (bei Bedarf in den Kommentaren melden…)
    Festnetznummer ist die selbe.

    Bald geht es los…wo ziehts euch hin?

  • Globe Runner – ein Buch erobert die Welt!

    Nachdem ich ja von Jan angemahnt wurde, über das beste Sketchbook zu reden….werde ich seinem Wunsche wohl nachkommen und die Wasssermelonen wohl ruhen lassen (im Kühlschrank 🙂 )

    Also….das Sketchbook ist ein tolles Buch, in welchem internationale Künstler sich verewigen können…
    Mal zeichnet hinein, es muss nicht perfekt sein, schreibt eine Mail, am besten mit Foto an die im Buch bekannt gegebene Adresse (damit wir wissen wo es sich befindet) und gibt es sodann nach Fertigstellung seines Entwurfes an den nächsten Künstler weiter.
    Es sind keine Grenzen (Nationen etc.) gesetzt – sendet es weiter – wer hats der hats! 😉

    Mittlerweile ist es gerade bei meinem Cousin in Osaka Japan und wartet auf seine Künstler (seine Mitarbeiter – sehr kreativ ich weiß). Und reist dann zurück nach Yamanashi Kofu um weiteres Japan-Vorgehen zu koordinieren. Aber die Künstler stehen bereit!

    Am Ende wird das ganze an den Meistbietenden versteigert und der Erlös kommt einer gemeinnützigen Organisation zugute (alles unter Vorbehalt – ich möchte NICHT auf diesen Blog-Eintrag festgenagelt werden).
    Und die Kunstwerke werden gescannt und dise sodann zum Selbstkostenpreis “vermittelt” (es steht kein kommerzieller Erfolg im Vordergrund).

    Die Rechte verbleiben bei den jeweiligen Künstlern!

  • Galerie und neues Design – es ist vollbracht!

    Endlich ist es geschafft – ich hab eine Galerie in meinen Blog integriert gekriegt!
    Und dazu habe ich mein altes K2-Theme wieder!!!

    Die Galerie findet ihr unter dem Menüpunkt  “Photos”
    Das Design könnt ihr nur akzeptieren oder in fatale Depressionen verfallen.
